The 37th in our Artist Print Series. For 2024, we've made a conscious decision to put more energy into highlighting our incredible team. This print is by our lead press operator, Ricardo Sanchez, also known as Bekartoe.

BEKARTOE is the work of Ricardo Sanchez, oil painter and printmaker working out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bekartoe completed his BFA from Northeastern State University in 2014.
Bekartoe's work dwells on the concept of mortality. Inspired by religious iconography, Bekartoe's recent body of work consists of developing an alternate universe, The Land of the Anti-Sun.

This piece, "The Summoning of the Awakener" is the debut of a pivotal character in the storyline. The Awakener is an entity who brings about mass awakening in this universe. A Land where most have gone numb, where ignorance is bliss. The Awakener is here, what happens next?
